บทคัดย่อ: | We optimize the uplink outage probability and throughput of the cellular IoT network, where the IoT nodes in the cell are rate-adaptive. The IoT nodes do not have their own energy source, and the base station (BS) has to wirelessly transfer energy to the IoT node. The BS does not have a power supply, and solely rely on the battery, charged by intermittent solar power. The outage probability minimization and throughput maximization are done by the optimization framework based on Markov Decision Process (MDP). Since the intermittent solar power can make the BS run out of battery, we also propose the cooperative BS scheme, where two BSs share a battery to reduce the risk of empty battery. The numerical results show that the cooperative BS scheme achieves lower outage probability than the independent BS scheme, but the throughput is marginally higher. © 2019 IEEE. |
