Abstract
The purpose of this research article is to study the development of Y-Thai fan culture in 2007-2021 reflected through Lovely Writer Boy’s love series. Lovely Writer reflected through the Y-Thai fan culture at present. This research is a historical approach, using evidences from Lovely Writer on WeTV application and interview director this series. Other evidences such as dissertations are referred in this research. The results of the research reveal that in 2007, we began to see a change in the Y-Thai culture and began to have media portraying male-to-male relationships. Such as the movie Love of Siam, until in 2014, the first T-Thai series was born, bringing the story line from the popular Y-Thai novels that are popular in the online world to produce a series. And after that, the Y-Thai series has developed in terms of the plot. And the trend is increasing, which has changed in tandem with the Y-Thai fan culture that has begun to appear more offline. They can express their likes freely or the online world can make it easier to comment. Lovely Writer, reflecting the current Y-Thai fan culture the can express their identity as the Y-Thai fan groups more freely both online and offline.
