แนวทางการพัฒนาสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกของการท่องเที่ยวเชิงศาสนาพุทธในพื้นที่กรุงเทพมหานคร

Abstract

การพัฒนาสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกของการท่องเที่ยวเชิงศาสนาพุทธในพื้นที่กรุงเทพมหานคร ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยแบบผสมผสาน โดยเชิงคุณภาพเก็บข้อมูลจากการสังเกตแบบไม่มีส่วนร่วมในศาสนสถาน 3 แห่ง และเชิงปริมาณใช้แบบสอบถามกับนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทย จำนวน 390 คน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนาและ การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า นักท่องเที่ยวมีความต้องการสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกในระดับมากถึงมากที่สุด โดยเฉพาะด้าน สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกพื้นฐาน การเข้าถึง และพื้นที่พักผ่อน ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับแนวคิด 5A ของ Dickman (1989) อย่างไรก็ตามยังพบข้อจำกัดในการรองรับกลุ่มเปราะบาง เช่น ผู้สูงอายุ ผู้พิการ และนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติ จากผลการสังเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณและคุณภาพ ผู้วิจัยได้ออกแบบ “SACRED Model” เป็นแนวทางใหม่ที่เสนอ 6 องค์ประกอบสำคัญ ได้แก่ Safety, Accessibility, Comfort, Respect, Experience และ Diversity ซึ่งเกิดจาก การวิเคราะห์ความต้องการของนักท่องเที่ยวควบคู่กับข้อเสนอแนะของผู้เชี่ยวชาญ เพื่อใช้เป็นแนวทางพัฒนาสิ่งอำนวย ความสะดวกในศาสนสถานอย่างสมดุลระหว่างคุณค่าทางศาสนากับประสบการณ์การท่องเที่ยว

This research aims to: 1) examine the resources of Buddhist religious tourism sites in Bangkok, 2) study the needs of tourists regarding facilities in religious places, and 3) propose development guidelines to enhance tourism facilities for Buddhist religious sites in the Bangkok area. A mixed-methods approach was employed. The qualitative component involved non-participant observation at three religious sites: Wat Phra Chetuphon (Wat Pho), Wat Arun Ratchawararam, and Wat Traimitr Withayaram. The quantitative component used a questionnaire survey conducted with 390 Thai tourists. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and content analysis. The findings revealed that tourists’ overall demand for tourism facilities was at a high to very high level, particularly in terms of basic amenities, accessibility, and rest areas. These findings align with Dickman’s 5A framework (1989), which emphasizes key components of tourism development: Attraction, Access, Amenities, Activities, and Accommodation. However, limitations were found in the ability of religious sites to accommodate vulnerable groups, such as elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and foreign tourists. Based on the synthesis of qualitative and quantitative data, the researcher developed a new conceptual model called the “SACRED Model,” consisting of six key elements: Safety, Accessibility, Comfort, Respect, Experience, and Diversity. This model was constructed from tourists’ needs and expert recommendations and is proposed as a practical framework for developing religious tourism facilities that maintain a balance between sacred cultural values and inclusive visitor experience.
