Abstract

This engineering project is aimed for increasing work efficiency in the export document department of a forwarding company, the study proposed the guideline to increase efficiency of export document for employees and provided to new approach of performing work. The principle of eliminating unnecessary work procedures, reduction of work procedures by combination, rearrangement of works and work performance improvement by simplification were employed to reduce wastes and non-beneficial tasks. In this case study, it is a company that operates internationally via land, air, and sea transportation business. The company will pick up parcels from customers, manufacturers, or any consignee whom signed the contract with their customers to facilitate them for parcels handling and delivery. Transportation can be done by boat, plane, truck, and train. Especially for international transportation, there are many processes, procedures and related agencies are involved in operation.
