| dc.description.abstract | Thirty psychiatrists and 24 psychiatry residents, who participated in the Sr nakharinwirot University (SWU)'s ECT workshop, were asked to complete a questionnaire assessing basic knowledge of ECT. Comparison was done with results obtaining from the 'properly trained' 27 SWU medical students. Psychiatrists had much less ECT knowledge than the other two groups. The majority of respondents asked for special training for privileging in ECT practice. All respondents agreed to have a standard curriculum for ECT training, and this should be included in the training syllabus of psychiatry residents. | |
