This article explores the landscape of esports event management studies. Through a systematic review, we identified 17 indexed articles from 1995 to 2023 in Scopus and Web of Science that aligned with our search strategy. Our analysis reveals potential gaps for future research in esports event management studies. We propose research directions in areas such as esports event education, event planning, volunteering, strategic management, sustainability, and policy-related issues to maintain stakeholder interests.
