The study focused on examining data obtained from MFR-7 measurements to analyze and discuss tropospheric aerosols and their impact in Thailand. Specifically, the study emphasized the significance of ASSA (ω) as a crucial factor in observing the aerosol effect on radiative forcing. Notably, the calculation of ω was directly calculated using the ratio of aerosol scattering optical depth to aerosol extinction optical depth (τ<inf>scat</inf>/τ<inf>ext</inf>), without relying on any aerosol computer code models. This offers an advantage by reducing the uncertainty stemming from modeling assumptions and the estimation of real aerosol input data. We determined the diurnal variation over five cloudless days in winter and early summer at five different wavelengths, taking into account Rayleigh scattering and atmospheric levels of NO<inf>2</inf> and ozone. Additionally, a spectral dependence trend in ω was noted for both seasons. The spectral findings suggest that during the winter season, the atmosphere in rural inland areas during the measurement period likely had lower soil dust aerosol concentrations compared to the early summer season.
