การให้บริการตัวเล่มหนังสือแบบเปิดในสํานักหอสมุดกลางทําให้ผู้ใช้สามารถหยิบตัวเล่มหนังสือ
ตามที่ต้องการผ่านการสืบค้นบนหน้าจอ OPAC อย่างไรก็ตาม มีผู้ใช้จํานวนหนึ่งทีไม่คุ้นชินกับการไปหยิบตัวเล่มบน
ชั้นจากเลขหมู่ที่ได้มา ผลงานนี้จึงเป็นการพัฒนาระบบช่วยผู้ใช้ค้นหาตัวเล่มหนังสือบนชั้นด้วยระบบระบุตําแหน่ง
โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างเครื่องมือช่วยการค้นหาตัวเล่มหนังสือบนชั้นที่ผู้ใช้ต้องการ โดยกําหนดกลุ่มเลขหมู่
สําหรับการทดลองระบบ และข้อมูลที่ระบุตําแหน่งตัวเล่มบนชั้นจะปรากฏบนหน้าจอผลการสืบค้น จากนั้นให้ผู้ใช้
สืบค้นและไปหาตัวเล่มที่ชั้น ซึ่งผลการทดลองพบว่าผู้ใช้สามารถหาตัวเล่มที่ต้องการบนชั้นได้อย่างถูกต้องและ
รวดเร็ว สามารถพัฒนาและขยายผลได้ต่อไป
Many users in the Central Library can search and access books on the shelf they need through OPAC. Nevertheless, some of them are not able to access books on the shelf by themselves. This trial project is developed aiming at assisting users to access books on the shelf as needed. The group of book classification is selected and processed to appear on the OPAC when they are searched. According to the COVID 19 pandemic, the library staff are selected as the users. The finding reveals that they can access books as specified on OPAC as easy and precise and could be further developed.
