This article presents the Pa Sook Model of Counseling Thai families that is currently being utilized as part of the first applied family training program in Thailand. "Pa Sook" means well-being, wholeness, peacefulness, and happiness in Thai language. The article describes six Thai cultural values coupled with ten selected therapeutic constructs that create the foundation of the Pa Sook Model. Thai family dynamics are highlighted and a case study is offered as an applied illustration of the model. This is the first comprehensive article in English that describes an integrated approach to counseling with Thai families. © 2003 by The Haworth Press, Inc. All rights reserved.
