This paper proposes null steering using weights which are consisted of only two low profile components, attenuator and phase shifter. The attenuator and phase shifter are calculated based on the antenna that is currently utilized at base station. Then, attenuator and phase shifter are fabricated and measured. Next, base station antenna pattern with weights is simulated to confirm it can steer mainbeam in desired direction and placing null in interference directions. Afterward, the performances of the system in terms of SINR and channel capacity are revealed. The result can confirm that the proposed weights can be adopted to use in the antenna that is currently used at base station to enhance the performance of the system. © 2015 IEEE.
