Abstract
Cervical cancer is the leading cause of death for many women around the world. In this paper, study and design electrode probe along with using Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) method to find the most efficient electrode probe for cervical precancerous tissues screening. Two types of planar electrodes probe with 7 or 8 electrodes were investigated by simulation: circular and square layouts. The circular layout has 4 mm diameter and the square layout has 4 mm side length. The simulation result showed that the circular 7-electrode was most suitable for localizing cervical precancerous tissues with the localization error less than 1.7mm. The signal-to-noise ratio should be over 40dB and the current patterns should be designed with symmetrical patterns. The region beneath electrodes, however, still be blind spots to detect abnormality. © 2022 IEEE.
