| dc.description.abstract | This research provides crucial guidance for the design and development of crime reporting application, aiming to enhance reporting experiences beyond traditional methods. The primary aim is to develop and assess the efficiency of a crime reporting application prototype tailored for Thai people. The research unfolds in four key steps: 1) studying the problem conditions and demands of crime reporting by examining documents and researching crime reporting information in Bangkok, analyzing the involved applications in Thailand and worldwide consisting of 12 applications and 12 websites, providing maps as a main component, 5 applications for call functionality and 3 applications for emergency calls or SOS features, and conducting a comprehensive questionnaire survey involving 400 individuals aged 18 to 60 to understand their problems and demands for crime reporting; 2) studying the guideline to develop the crime reporting application prototype by examining documents and researching interface design, and conducting a questionnaire survey involving 50 individuals aged 18 to 60 to understand their expectations and demands for interface of crime reporting application; 3) developing a crime reporting application prototype with an online design tool, Figma, and having three experts who are content, design, and system experts, evaluate the quality and efficiency of the improved prototype; and 4) conducting a satisfaction study through a questionnaire survey involving 50 individuals aged 18 to 60, resulting in a high level score (mean = 4.44). | |
