Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study impacts of economic, societal and environmental from sports tourism in Bangsaen42 Marathon in Chonburi province in order to be guidelines to manage the economic, societal and environmental impacts. The samples of the research were the participants in Bangsaen42 Marathon consist of 345 persons. In addition, the in-depth interview conducted from 12 participants such as local people, business operations, hotel and restaurant entrepreneurs. Data were statistically analyzed in term of Mean, Standard deviation and Percentage. The results of questionnaire were as followed that the opinions of Bangsaen42 marathon participants thought Bangsaen42 marathon cause positive impacts to economic environmental and societal. Therefore, Bangsaen42 marathon In terms of economic impacts aspect were ranked at high level of aspects namely stimulation travel in Chonburi province (x̅ = 4.37, S.D. = 0.67) and Income generating of local community (x̅ = 4.36, S.D. = 0.58) respectively. In terms of societal impacts aspect were ranked at high level of aspects namely facilities and infrastructure (x̅ = 4.21, S.D. = 0.79) and exercise motivation (x̅ = 4.05, S.D. = 0.82) respectively. In terms of environmental impacts aspect were ranked at high level of aspects namely waste management (x̅ = 4.20, S.D. = 0.87) and area management appropriately (x̅ = 4.16, S.D. = 0.84)
