สำนวนคันจิประสม 4 ตัวอักษรภาษาญี่ปุ่นที่มีคำเรียกชื่อสัตว์

Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ลักษณะและความหมายเปรียบเทียบของสัตว์ในสำนวนคันจิประสม 4 ตัวอักษร (Yojijukugo) เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยวิธีการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจง (Purposive sampling) จากพจนานุกรมสำนวนคันจิประสม 4 ตัวอักษร จำนวน 5 เล่ม รวมทั้งสิ้น 720 สำนวน วิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบทางความหมาย ทั้งความหมายประจำรูปของคำเรียกสัตว์และความหมายเปรียบเทียบของสัตว์ สรุปและนำเสนอผลการวิจัยโดยวิธีพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ว่า ลักษณะโครงสร้างของสำนวนคันจิประสม 4 ตัวอักษรที่มีคำเรียกชื่อสัตว์ สามารถแบ่งออกได้ 3 กลุ่ม คือกลุ่มที่อักษรคันจิทั้ง 4 ตัวแตกต่างกัน กลุ่มอักษรที่คันจิตัวใดตัวหนึ่งซ้ำกัน และกลุ่มที่อักษรคันจิตัวใดตัวหนึ่งตรงข้ามกัน สำนวนดังกล่าวปรากฏคาเรียกชื่อสัตว์ 28 ชนิด จำแนกได้ 5 กลุ่ม คือ กลุ่มสัตว์สี่เท้า กลุ่มสัตว์ปีก กลุ่มสัตว์เลื้อยคลาน กลุ่มปลา และกลุ่มแมลง โดยมีความหมายเปรียบเทียบถึงสิ่งต่าง ๆ จำนวน 11 ความหมาย ได้แก่ คน คุณสมบัติ นิสัย ภัยอันตราย ปริมาณ ขนาด เวลา สิ่งของ อาการ การกระทำ และระยะทาง โดยสัตว์ที่มีการใช้ในสำนวนมากที่สุดคือมังกร และสัตว์ที่มีความหมายเปรียบเทียบมากที่สุดคือเสือ

The purpose of this research article is to analyze the characteristics and figurative meanings of Japanese four-character idiomatic compounds (Yojijukugo) that include animal terms. Purposive sampling was employed to collect data on idioms from five dictionaries Yojijukugo. The total number of Yojijukugo studied is 720. Using component analysis methods to examine animal terms and their meanings—both literal and figurative—we present the research results through an analytical description. The results of the research indicate that the structure of Yojijukugo referring to animal terms can be divided into three groups: (1) those in which all four kanji characters are different, (2) those in which any kanji character is repeated, and (3) those in which any kanji character has an opposite. There are 28 types of animals used as metaphors, which can be classified into five groups: quadrupeds, poultry, reptiles, fish, and insects. The figurative meanings of the animals appearing in Yojijukugo include 11 categories: human qualities, properties, habits, hazards, quantities, sizes, concepts of time, objects, states, actions, and distances. Moreover, the animal most commonly used in Yojijukugo is the dragon, while the animal with the most figurative meanings is the tiger.
