Abstract
งานวิจัยเชิงสร้างสรรค์ เรื่อง “ลวดลายมลายูกับการสร้างสรรค์เครื่องประดับมุสลิมร่วมสมัย” มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบเอกลักษณ์ของลวดลายมลายูนําไปสู่แนวทางการสร้างสรรค์เครื่องประดับ โดยมีรูปแบบผลิตภัณฑ์สอดคล้องกับพฤติกรรม ความต้องการของผู้บริโภคเครื่องประดับสตรีชาวไทยมุสลิมสร้างเครื่องประดับที่สะท้อนอัตลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมของชาวมุสลิมภาคใต้ของประเทศไทย การวิจัยนี้ใช้ระเบียบวิธีแบบผสมผสาน ทั้งการศึกษาข้อมูลเอกสารการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก การวิเคราะห์กลุ่มตัวอย่างในทางศิลปะ และการสํารวจพฤติกรรมผู้บริโภคกลุ่มตัวอย่างสตรีมุสลิม
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ลวดลายมลายูมีลักษณะทางศิลปะที่โดดเด่น เช่น ลวดลายพฤกษชาติลายเรขาคณิต และลายอักษรอาหรับ ซึ่งสะท้อนอิทธิพลของหลักคําสอนอิสลามที่หลีกเลี่ยงการแสดงภาพมนุษย์และสัตว์จริง นอกจากนี้ ผู้บริโภคสตรีมุสลิมให้ความสําคัญกับคุณภาพของเครื่องประดับรูปแบบการออกแบบที่สวยงามและเหมาะสมกับการสวมใส่ในชีวิตประจําวัน โดยนิยมอัญมณีพลอยเนื้ออ่อน สีโทนอบอุ่น และรูปแบบร่วมสมัยที่มีแรงบันดาลใจจากธรรมชาติ จากข้อมูลดังกล่าว ผู้วิจัยได้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานเครื่องประดับต้นแบบภายใต้แนวคิด“Elegance in Modesty–ความงามแห่งความเรียบสง่างาม”โดยใช้แรงบันดาลใจจากดอกพิกุล กรอบหน้าต่างสุเหร่า และลวดลายมลายูถ่ายทอดออกมาในรูปแบบเครื่องประดับร่วมสมัยสําหรับสตรีมุสลิมวัยทํางานที่มีกําลังซื้อระดับปานกลาง ผลการประเมินแบบร่างและต้นแบบพบว่าผลงานอยู่ในระดับ“เหมาะสมมากที่สุด”ในด้านความงาม ความร่วมสมัย และความเหมาะสมกับศาสนาอิสลาม
งานวิจัยนี้นําเสนอแนวทางใหม่ในการใช้ทุนทางวัฒนธรรมมลายูเพื่อพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมอัญมณีและเครื่องประดับไทยในเชิงสร้างสรรค์ สร้างคุณค่าใหม่ให้กับภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น และสามารถต่อยอดสู่เชิงพาณิชย์ได้อย่างยั่งยืน อีกทั้งยังส่งเสริมการอนุรักษ์อัตลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมให้ดํารงอยู่คู่สังคมร่วมสมัย
The creative research study, “Creation of contemporary Muslim jewelry from Melayu motifs,” aims to examine the distinctive forms of Malay patterns and apply them as a guideline for jewelry design. The study focuses on creating products that align with the behaviors and preferences of Thai Muslim women consumers, resulting in jewelry that reflects the cultural identity of Southern Thai Muslims. This research employed a mixed-methods approach, including document analysis, in-depth interviews, artistic analysis of sample groups, and a consumer behavior survey of Muslim women. The findings indicate that Malay patterns possess prominent artistic characteristics, such as floral motifs, geometric designs, and Arabic calligraphy, reflecting the influence of Islamic teachings that avoid depicting humans and animals. Moreover, Muslim women consumers emphasize the quality of jewelry, aesthetically pleasing designs, and suitability for daily wear. They prefer soft-toned gemstones, warm colors, and contemporary styles inspired by nature. Based on these insights, the researcher developed prototype jewelry under the concept “Elegance in Modesty”, drawing inspiration from Pikul flowers, mosque window frames, and Malay patterns, expressed in contemporary designs for working Muslim women with mid-level purchasing power. Evaluation of sketches and prototypes revealed that the designs were rated “highly suitable” in terms of aesthetics, contemporariness, and compatibility with Islamic principles. This study presents a novel approach to utilizing Malay cultural heritage for the creative development of the Thai gem and jewelry industry, generating new value for local wisdom while offering potential for sustainable commercialization.
