| dc.description.abstract | Technological development in electrical and electronic industries benefits our societies in many ways. With emphasizing in development of design and innovative of the product, it provides a great comfortable to human daily life covering a wide range of application areas such as business, education, technology and health service. A main purpose of a paper is to explore the past and current situation of reverse logistic system of electronic wastes or E-waste by raising laptop computer as a case study and to propose a comprehensive reverse logistic system integrated with environmental perspectives in Thailand. Environmental impacts on current recycling and disposal system of E-waste have been explored by using different data sources. Compared with other Asian countries, a proposed framework of the reverse logistic system of E-waste integrated with environmental issues is presented. The results serve as baseline data for understanding a role of all stakeholders involved in adopting and implementing Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) policies to promote environmentally sound management system of E-waste in Thailand. © 2012 Fraunhofer IZM. | |
