Abstract

This article is a part of a research, Patriarchy and female contraception 1970 -2017 B.E. The objectives of this study are to analyze the relationship between the male-dominated discourse and female contraception, as well as the impact of the male-dominated discourse in Thai society on female contraception. This article would like to explain the causes and affects of Male sterilization was unexceptable in thai society as much as the Female sterilization. Furthermore, what impact from the unpopularity of male sterilization have on the female contraception? And how does it related to the patriarchy. This article studies by using contemporary publishes about family planning policies and also researches. The study discovered the causes why male sterilization in the family planning policy is unpopular. First factors is social environment, as well as the communication of information in such a way that viral misinformation in male sterilization, such as loss of masculinity, impotence, etc.
