พัฒนาการทางเพศสภาพอัตลักษณ์นอนไบนารี่ และแนวทางการยืนยันรับรองเพศสภาพอัตลักษณ์นอนไบนารี่ในบริบทการปรึกษาทางจิตวิทยา: การวิจัยพหุวิธีด้วยเชิงคุณภาพตามลำดับ

Abstract

This aims of this are as follows: (1) to explore the processes and conditions occurring during the gender identity development of non-binary individuals; (2) to explore affirming and recognizing non-binary gender identity in psychological counseling practices at both the individual and community levels. The research employs a sequential qualitative multimethod design, using qualitative methods to study two phases. Phase 1: Life history studies through in-depth interviews with nine non-binary individuals. Phase 2: Seeks strategies for affirming and recognizing non-binary gender identity from seven qualified informants, including two psychiatrists, three psychologists, and two non-binary individuals. The participants were selected using snowball sampling and purposive sampling based on specific inclusion criteria. The participants collected the data through in-depth interviews, using tools such as semi-structured interview questions, interview guidelines, observations, field equipment, and notebooks. The findings from Phase 1 were as follows: The process of non-binary gender identity development consists of two main aspects: the development of gender identity awareness occurs in four stages: pre-experience, experiential, identity disclosure, and identity actualization stages.The impacts during these developmental stages include societal expectations and the consequences of expressing a non-binary gender identity. Conditions in this process are categorized into positive and negative factors, including personal factors related to thoughts and actions, and social environmental factors. Findings from Phase 2: Strategies for affirming non-binary gender identity at both individual and community levels were identified in six main areas: (1) characteristics of practitioners; (2) management of service areas; (3) practices for supporting transgender and non-binary children and adolescents; (4) Practices for supporting parents; and (5) social participation in affirming non-binary identity; (6) policies supporting affirmation practices according to the context of the practitioners. In conclusion, the multimethod research approach provided deep insights into understanding gender identity development of non-binary individuals, leading to the discovery of appropriate strategies for affirming non-binary gender identity.

การวิจัยเพื่อ 1) ค้นหากระบวนการและเงื่อนไขที่เกิดขึ้นในช่วงพัฒนาการด้านอัตลักษณ์ทางเพศสภาพของบุคคลอัตลักษณ์นอนไบนารี่ 2) เพื่อค้นหาแนวทางการยืนยันรับรองอัตลักษณ์ทางเพศสภาพนอนไบนารี่สำหรับการปฏิบัติงานให้การปรึกษาทางจิตวิทยาทั้งระดับบุคคลและระดับชุมชนสังคม การวิจัยนี้ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิทยาการวิจัยพหุวิธีด้วยเชิงคุณภาพตามลำดับ (Sequential Qualitative Multimethod Design) ใช้การวิจัยแบบคุณภาพเข้ามาศึกษาความรู้ทั้ง 2 ระยะ ระยะที่ 1 การศึกษาประวัติชีวิตโดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกบุคคลอัตลักษณ์ทางเพศสภาพนอนไบนารี่ จำนวน 9 คน และระยะที่ 2 ค้นหาแนวทางการยืนยันรับรองอัตลักษณ์ทางเพศสภาพนอนไบนารี่ จากผู้ให้ข้อมูลที่ผ่านเกณฑ์การคัดเข้าทั้งหมด 7 คน ประกอบไปด้วย จิตแพทย์ 2 คน นักจิตวิทยา 3 คน และบุคคลนอนไบนารี่ที่ 2 คน การศึกษาทั้ง 2 ระยะ ใช้การคัดเลือกผู้ให้ข้อมูลแบบลูกโซ่และแบบเฉพาะเจาะจงตามเกณฑ์คัดเข้า เก็บข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก เครื่องมือ ได้แก่ 1) คำถามสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง 2.) แนวทางการสัมภาษณ์ 3) การสังเกต 4) อุปกรณ์ภาคสนาม 5) สมุดจดบันทึก ผลการศึกษาระยะที่ 1 พบว่า กระบวนการของพัฒนาการทางเพศสภาพอัตลักษณ์นอนไบนารี่มี 2 ประเด็นหลัก คือ 1) ช่วงเวลาของพัฒนาการด้านการรับรู้ทางเพศสภาพเกิดขึ้น 4 ระยะ คือ ระยะก่อนเปิดประสบการณ์ ระยะเปิดประสบการณ์ ระยะเปิดเผยอัตลักษณ์ และระยะการบรรลุอัตลักษณ์ และ 2) ผลกระทบที่เกิดขึ้นในช่วงพัฒนาการ คือ ผลกระทบจากความคาดหวังสังคม และผลกระทบจากการแสดงออกนอกกรอบเพศชายหญิง และพบว่าเงื่อนไขที่เกิดขึ้นในกระบวนการ มี 2 ประเด็นหลัก คือ เงื่อนไขเชิงบวกและเงื่อนไขเชิงลบ ประกอบไปด้วย 1) ปัจจัยด้านบุคคลที่เกี่ยวข้องกับความรู้สึกนึกคิดและการลงมือทำ 2) ปัจจัยด้านสภาพแวดล้อมทางสังคม ผลการวิจัยระยะที่ 2 พบว่าแนวทางการยืนยันรับรองอัตลักษณ์ทางเพศสภาพนอนไบนารี่ ทั้งระดับบุคคลและระดับชุมชนสังคม มี 6 ประเด็นหลัก คือ 1) ด้านคุณลักษณะของผู้ปฏิบัติงาน 2) ด้านการจัดการพื้นที่ให้บริการ 3) ด้านการปฏิบัติงานดูแลเด็กและวัยรุ่นอัตลักษณ์ข้ามเพศและนอนไบนารี่ 4) ด้านการปฏิบัติงานดูแลผู้ปกครอง 5) ด้านการมีส่วนร่วมทางสังคมต่อการยืนยันรับรองอัตลักษณ์นอนไบนารี่ 6) ด้านนโยบายสนับสนุนแนวทางการปฏิบัติงานแบบยืนยันรับรองอัตลักษณ์ตามบริบทของผู้ปฏิบัติงาน โดยผลการวิจัยพหุวิธีช่วยให้ได้องค์ความรู้ใหม่ที่มีความลึกซึ้งในการทำความเข้าใจพัฒนาการทางเพศอัตลักษณ์นอนไบนารี่เพื่อนำไปสู่การค้นพบแนวทางการยืนยันรับรองอัตลักษณ์ทางเพศสภาพในกลุ่มอัตลักษณ์นอนไบนารี่ได้อย่างเหมาะสม
