Abstract
There is a need to adequately analyze the supply chain prior to embarking on the improvement recommendation and implementation. Quick scan is an analytical and systematic tool for conducting a supply chain business diagnostic. The method is relatively quick and efficient for in-depth consideration and synthesis of the overall supply chain in the given time frame. In this paper Quick scan is utilized as a quick check in the white shrimp industry in Thailand, which consists of many parties, i.e. suppliers, farmers, middle men, frozen companies, government offices, and relevant agencies. The anticipated outcome may provide more understanding and further develop generic research models for any changes and improvement in this industry.
