| Abstract(TH): | การศึกษาเรื่องพื้นที่เมืองและชีวิตของคนในซอยคาวบอย มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประวัติ ความเป็นมาและกระบวนการสร้างพื้นที่ของซอยคาวบอย และศึกษาปฏิสัมพันธ์การใช้ชีวิตประจำวันของผู้คนในซอยคาวบอย โดยมีวิธีการศึกษาคือการศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพ โดยใช้วิธีการสัมภาษณ์เจาะลึกกับผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลัก 10 คน และบุคคลอื่นอีกจำนวนหนึ่งเพื่อให้ได้เนื้อหาครบถ้วนและการสังเกตการณ์แบบมีส่วนร่วม ผลการศึกษาพบว่าซอยคาวบอยคือภาพสะท้อนมรดกแห่งการพัฒนาพื้นที่เมือง โดยตั้งอยู่ระหว่างซอยสุขุมวิท 21 และซอย 23 เดิมพื้นที่บริเวณนี้ คือย่านเกษตรกรรม เรียกว่าทุ่งบางกะปิ เมื่อสร้างถนนสุขุมวิทในปี 2479 ที่ขนานไปกับคลองแสนแสบทำให้มีผู้คนเข้ามาอยู่อาศัยเพิ่มขึ้นโดยเฉพาะเจ้านายหรือคหบดีเพราะราคาที่ดินไม่แพง พื้นที่ย่านนี้ถูกพัฒนาโดยนักลงทุนสร้างอาคารพาณิชย์และจัดสรรที่ดินให้มีความเจริญจนปี 2520 มีนายทหารอเมริกันผิวดำชื่อ Edward มาเปิดร้านขายสุราด้วยภาพลักษณ์ของตนที่แต่งกายด้วยชุดคาวบอยทำให้เป็นที่มาและรู้จักแพร่หลายในชื่อซอยคาวบอยสืบมา ในซอยคาวบอยมีชีวิตของผู้คนที่หลากหลายต่างต่อสู้ดิ้นรนภายใต้ระบบทุนนิยมที่มีการแข่งขันให้มีชีวิตรอด มีทั้งการต่อรอง การยอมตามการแสดงออก ถึงการปฏิสัมพันธ์กันในชีวิตประจำวันเป็นไปตามกลไกของอำนาจและการต่อรองในพื้นที่ภายใต้แนวคิดโครงสร้างมีผู้ที่หลุดพ้นจากการครอบงำไปสู่ชีวิตที่ดีขึ้นและผู้ที่ถูกเบียดขับออกไป ภายในพื้นที่เมืองกรณีซอยคาวบอยที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นจึงสามารถเข้าใจวัฒนธรรมหรือวิถีชีวิตของคนในระดับจุลภาคได้อย่างแท้จริง |
| Abstract: | The study of Urban Space and Everyday Life in Soi cowboy, Sukhumvit 23 Bangkok Metropolitan aims to study the created space, history background and the interaction with people in Soi Cowboy and the interactions of everyday life of people in Soi Cowboy. The study is a qualitative study. Using in-depth interviews with ten key informants were a number of others in order to obtain a comprehensive and participatory observation.
