dc.description.abstractDistributed antenna systems may have several different configurations of remote nodes and antennas. To optimally design the configuration and the locations of remote nodes, it is necessary to know the ergodic capacity and outage probability. We derive the exact ergodic capacities and the outage capacities of maximal-ratio combining for distributed antenna system with general configurations. The derived results are verified with computer simulations. It is found that the derived results agree with the simulation results. © 2019 IEEE.
