Abstract:
This study aims to investigate library usages’ behavior and leraning space’s need
by users at the Central Library and Ongkarag Library, Srinakharinwirot University. The subjects
consists of 529 staff and students at Srinakharinwirot University. The research instruments include
questionnaire and interview. Then data are analyzed by percentage and mean for questionnaire
items and content analysis for interview items. The results reveals that most ot the respondnets
are female underdraduate students, time of use is during 12.00 – 3.00 p.m. and 3.00 -6.00 p.m.,
with spending duration of 2 – 4 hours. Their intentiuon of library’s space usage include reading,
studying, meeting and waiting, respectedly. According to their satisfaction, it is found that those
of learnig nspace are at a high level, ae well as environemtn, facility, space management, and
library staff. When considered the desired learnig space in the library, it illustatres that they prefer
learning space deveolment as to quiest place/individual seat, flexible furniture and seat according
to their acitivity, and small meeting place, online equipment as well as high technology tools.
