Abstract:
This project aims to improve the documentation system in the process of customs clearance for import-export goods. The outbound departments are the front unit of the international shipments of in which all goods are required to complete the customs check. Effectiveness of such system are viewed in terms of traceability of documents through the process of carrier transportation, and cost minimization. The improvement will make it
easier to carry out procedures that are difficult to track and monitor the movement of product data. From the system described above, there was a failure caused by a human error, product information missing within documents. The item's attributes are recorded incorrectly and often out-of-date. There was also a delay in receiving and sending information between departments. This project therefore designed a new document
system which performs efficiently for operational tasks. The upgraded system has also been tested. The results of this project can be concluded as the increasing of system performance in the last three months, with lower of error events or misleading data. Information for customs clearance can now be verified instantly.
