Abstract:
This engineering project is aimed for determining the standard time of the transformer production process. It will help in capacity planning to be balanced with production plan by creating the database for the process of transformer production. From the study found that the production process was still uncertain due to the company did not have the standard time which cause the delay in production process. As a result, it is
required to have a standard working time for being a criteria in capacity planning. The working time data was collected in the forms of table and histogram which obtained from each machine and each product, then it was analyzed for the load of each working station. Consequently, the standard working was determined and used for appropriate work. After the implementation of standard working time, which reduced significantly, the capacity
planning is better than before and has more efficiency. From the result, the improvement of each process can reduce the working time for transformer Tank LBS in the process of bending, welding, and leak testing to be 7.69%, 60.08% and 83.88% respectively. For the transformer Mech Box bending time process was reduced by 37.12% and for transformer VT Tank LBS the bending time process was reduced by 59.3%.
