Abstract:
The objective of this engineering project is to study hand detection for touchless image
viewer in the operating room by 2D camera. This is due to the problem of contamination
caused by using equipment in the operating room which can lead to infection in patients and
medical personnel. Additionally, this aims to improve the efficiency of surgical procedures by
using computer equipment for diagnosis and surgical planning. The project consists of three
processes: 1) Hand detection, 2) Hand segmentation, and 3) Center error. The experiment will
be conducted using sequence images that display hand movement commands for medical
image control include 1) Ready, 2) starting the program, 3) Controlling the image commands,
4) Ending the program, and selecting 36 frames for testing. The initial frame used in the
experiment is the "ready" position. The accuracy rate for hand detection is 100%, the accuracy
rate for hand segmentation is 100%, and the center error detection has an error rate of 11.05
pixels
