Abstract:
Nowadays, clear aligner is one of the most popular and modern dental procedures for
correcting abnormalities within the mouth. With the treatment efficiency that takes a shorter time
and is more beautiful than other forms of orthodontic treatment including the safety of treatment.
The function of clear aligner is transmitting force through the crown of teeth directly and send it
through the roots of the teeth. When the root of the tooth is subjected to force, the root of the
tooth will press the bone wall and will cause the mechanism of resorption of old bone and create
new bone to replace (Bone remodeling) and cause gaps, resulting in teeth moving to the desired
position but the transmission of force from clear aligner needs to provide the properly force. If
the force is too high, it may cause bone cells to die or press on the blood vessels, eventually
causing the teeth to fail. เท this research, we are interested in measuring the force at the root of
the tooth. Therefore, the experiment was divided into 2 main experiments, namely, the first
experiment was to measure the force at the root of the tooth when the tooth (Crown), get the
required strength and experiment 2, measuring the force at the root of the tooth after wearing
the clear aligner, which measures the force with a load cell and simulates the artificial periodontal
ligament in the tooth model. The test results showed that the measured force on crown of teeth
increased. But the force measured at the root of the tooth increases initially and gradually
stabilizes. Wearing clear orthodontic more degree activation that can move along a large distance
will result in a lot offeree at the root of the tooth as well.
