Abstract:
This research aims to study the success of the participation in SMEs in government
procurement and to identify the factors that are conducive to or limiting the participation of
SMEs in government procurement by using a mixed research methods: (1) the document
survey was used to understand the success of SMEs participating in government procurement
by considering the small to medium-sized business operators that registered products or
services. In terms of government procurement (THAI SME – GP) and participating in government
procurement, ready to be selected and not preferred, including the period between 2019
until May 2022; (2) to collect data with query tools from 1 July 2022 until 3 June 2022 regarding
Small and Medium Business Entrepreneurship Group to Sell Products and Services Registered
by Office of Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion (THAI SME – GP). This included all 400
provinces in Thailand, with statistics used in data erosion included percentage and chi-
square.The study found the success of SMEs in participating in government procurement, most
of which were preferred (81%), followed by not being chosen (15.80%) and not participating
(3.30%) Therefore, it can be certified that all three factors were the primary component of the
operator. The readiness factor of people and entrepreneurship and state support of the factors
affecting success. In addition, the study found that social influence factors and the
fundamentals of business entrepreneurs did not affect their success.
