Abstract:
The purposes of this research s to study the work environment and its association with
motivation, work efficiency, and work happiness in private hospitals located in the Bangkok metropolitan
area. A total of 287 questionnaires were collected and considered usable for statistical analysis. The
statistical methods employed for data analysis included percentage calculation, mean calculation,
standard deviation calculation, independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and the Pearson
correlation coefficient. The research findings are as follows: Demographic characteristics: The major of
the participants were female employees aged between 20 and 29 years, holding a bachelor’s degree.
They were mostly married, earning an average monthly income ranging from 30,001 to 45,000 Baht, and
had work experience of two to three years. The major of employees reported a favorable work
environment, high working efficiency, and motivation associated with high levels of happiness.The study
found that age, gender, level of education, marital status, average monthly income, and work experience
had no significant impact on working efficiency and happiness at a significance level of 0.05. Correlation
between work environment, working efficiency, and happiness: The research revealed a positive
correlation between the work environment and both working efficiency and happiness at a significance
level of 0.01, indicating a normal level of correlation. Relationship between motivation and working
efficiency/happiness: The study found a positive and significant correlation between motivation and
working efficiency at a significance level of 0.01, indicating a high level of correlation. Motivation was also
found to be correlated with happiness at a normal level.
