Abstract:
The objectives of this project were to promote gastronomy tourism base on identity of the Hua Ao
Village and to develop organic agricultural learning activities to creative gastronomy tourism for the Hua
Ao Village. This was action research taking place at the Hua Ao Village, Bang Chang Sub-district, Sam
Phran District, Nakhon Pathom Province, Thailand, with 38 participants which consist of the village leader,
community people, academics, and tourists. This research used purposive sampling for choosing members
of research participants, and used in-depth surveys, participant observation and interviews with the
stakeholders in the community for data collection. Then, organized a pilot tourism activities test. As for the
data analysis part, we analyzed the qualitative data by descriptive and narrative.
The results of the research revealed that the community had their own unique ways and wisdom
in terms of planting, caring for and collecting organic agricultural goods and processing organic agricultural
goods to products. The processed organic products development were the guava Cocktail and Mocktail.
Also, the learning activity stations consisted of 4 stations, 1) a station for knowledge about Organic
agriculture and agricultural farm visiting. 2) a station for cooking Salad dressing from organic vegetables.
3) a station for Cooking the story of food and organic raw material and 4) a station for cooking the guava
cocktail and mocktail. The results of the pilot tourism activities test presented that the overall performance
was very high quality. The developed tourism activity was at very good. The pilot tourists were satisfied
with the pilot tourism activities and had suggestions on how to improve the tourism activities by improving
the tourist facilities and develop the various and the passionate interpretation of gastronomy tourism
activities.
