Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to study the tourism management model in religious dimension which is related to Buddhist tourism and to study guidelines to promote the Buddhist tourism of Khao Khitchakut national park in Chanthaburi province. Data collection consisted of qualitative research and action research by collecting data from documentary study, field Survey, and in-depth interviews with 30 academician and stakeholders. The results were found that the tourism management model of Khao Khitchakut national park consisted of 4 models; Tourism in the Buddhist style that emphasizes the use of traditional temple and religion resources, Joint design between religion and tourism, Tourism management in the way of spirituality, and Blending with tourism in religious objects. Additionally, there are 3 ways to promote Buddhist tourism in Khao Khitchakut National Park, which are transportation: there should be improvements to make it easier to access tourist attractions. Personnel: there should focus on beliefs, culture and Buddhism. And, Buddhist tourism activities: there should develop activities to be interesting and in accordance with Buddhist principles in order to attract tourists to participate in activities and preserve the beliefs and culture along with the Buddhist principles.
