Abstract:
The objectives of this research are to created guidelines for creative tourism activities according to the principle of the ancient Khmer solar calendar of Phra That Phu Pek in one year by using a participatory research process. This study method was qualitative research with contained of 2 steps, first it is to study the potential of tourism areas and study stakeholders needs in each unit and community by using in-depth interview methods with key informants . Second , all data was used to develop creative tourism activities from Khmer solar calender. The results revealed that the stakeholders wanted to create a tourism program of Prathat Phuphek Castle in cooperation with government agencies, community, schools and temples. These will allow tourists to know and visit the place because they believe in the power of the sun. So they want to practice Dharma, keep the precepts, affect their mind. The touirst needed to improve the facilities especially toilets, water use, waste management. In research created creative tourism programs to link between dharma, nature and culture, especially linking with the indigo-dyed fabric culture of Phu Tai people. The duration of the activity is 2 days 1 night. They must be preparation of villagers and communities to accommodate specific groups of tourists who wish to travel according with their beliefs and faith. especially local guides, guides on ecotourism routes. Accommodation and food service.
