Abstract:
This research aims to study the self-practice on 12 core values of Thai people of Srinakharinwirot University’s undergraduate students and to seek strategies for promoting and self-practicing on these core values of Thai youth. The research tool was a questionnaire for a sample group who were 240 students of Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Humanity. The research findings found that the students practiced seven core values at the high level and two core values at the moderate level. The means of self-practice on 12 core values between the sample group and the researcher were different with the statistical significance level of .01 in seven cores. Moreover, the students moderately agreed on the announcement of the government’s 12 core values. The students also suggested that academic institutions played an important role to building an awareness of these core values, especially filial piety towards parents, guardians and teachers.
