Abstract:
This research is the study of the theoretic and principal causes, the ultimate goals, and the methods for attaining self-development to success. It looks at the importance of the success through the analysis of concepts, attitudes and beliefs of Western philosophers on the truth of the world and living things, and their relationship with humans as a path to contentment. From the study, the value of the success is found in the relationship between its principles and rules. Some western philosophers believe that the genesis of peace comes from nature. Nature created all living things and living things should live in accordance with nature. The fate of all human beings is controlled by nature thus human should not attach themselves with the worldly materials namely lecherousness, possessions, fame, and honor. Instead, they should live peacefully in conform with the nature and adhere to the moral and ethical conduct as a principle procedure to detach themselves from desires and ultimately attain eternal peace. Most of western philosophers believe that God is their highest entity; He is the creator of the world, every living thing, and the universe. He laid out the rules and regulations for the world and brings peace to mankind. This group of philosophers’ view that human beings should believe and carry out the religion's teachings, that they should live life under certain moral conduct, and adhere to the ultimate purpose, which is the eternal peace in the realm of God. And another western philosophers believe in the world which God does not exist. Everything is created by nature. Natural laws bring order to the universe and humans interpreted those laws for survival. As a result, humans must rely on science, logic, intelligence, and cognition to understand nature, and the existential truth for solving problems and for learning the proper way of living to attain ultimate peace for mankind.
