Abstract:
The guidelines of E-Sport tourism management in Bangkok Metropolis had a purpose that were to set the guidelines for management of E-Sport tourism in Bangkok Metropolis. The questionnaires were utilized as a tool to collect data form 385 tourists who participated in the E-Sport event in Bangkok, by using structured interviews from six experts in sport tourism and E-Sport. The results were as follows:
Most of the respondents were male, mostly ages are 20 years old, the highest of education was bachelor degree and most of the respondents were students. In the past year, the respondents were participated to the E-Sport event about 2-5 times, the majority of the respondent had never participated in E-Sport events.
Most of the respondents who play E-Sport were playing E-Sport around 3-5 hours per day, during 20.00-00.59, with friends. E-Sport game types is mainly played regularly MOBA and most of the respondents played ROV. Opinions of respondents on the potentiality of E-Sport events management in personnel was at a high level (xˉ = 4.02 , S.D. = 0.63), in budget was at a high level ( xˉ= 4.02 , S.D. = 0.71), in location, equipment and facilities was at a high level (xˉ = 3.81 , S.D. = 0.72) and in management was at a high level ( xˉ= 3.90 , S.D. = 0.75) The opinions of the respondent needs to participate in E-Sport events, the requirement to live at a high level (xˉ = 3.94 , S.D. = 0.76) to connected relationships with other people on many levels at a high level ( xˉ= 3.93 , S.D. = 0.76) The demand growth as moderate level (xˉ = 3.07 , S.D. = 0.90).
This research is showing the way to organize E-Sport tourism by using “E-Sport” guidelines which can be separated into E-Earning, S-standard, P-perspective, Organization, Readiness, Tourism and 5A’s of tourism follows by Accessibility, Amenities, Activities, Accommodation. For all the result, it greatly encourage the organizing E-Sport tourism in Bangkok metropolis to be more effective.
