Abstract:
The purpose of this research aimed to study consideration of Thai tourist preferences to domestic transportation in Thailand. The factors that Thai tourist preferences of transportation in Thailand and the process to develop the domestic transportation and the result that used in research was the tourists that travel by train, bus and aircraft in a range of November 2017. The result in this research were calculated by 402 Thai passengers who used the transportation in Thailand. Questionnaire was the part of the tool for data collection.
Result were as follow:
1. The result of this study was 402 Thai tourists. Most of the tourists were female more than male in the age group of 15-25 years old. Most of them were graduated from Bachelor Degree, and studied in under graduate program, single, and had the average income between 10,001-20,000 baht. Most of them prefer to transport by aircraft and had about 2-3 companions. The range of travel was about more than 5 days and like to travel in weekdays. The budget of the transportation was less than 5,000 baht and the frequency to transport for vacation about 1-2 trips in a year.
2. Result of the correlation test between independent variable and the consideration by the tourists in preferences to domestic transportation in Thailand with statistical in .05 levels.
2.1 From the correlation test between independent variable; sex, age, education, career, relation status, purpose of transport, companion, duration of transportation, season of transportation, with the preferences to domestic transportation by Thai tourist. The statistical tests were discovered that the difference of the independent variable influence to the preferences to domestic transportation was not difference.
2.2 From the correlation test between independent variable; income, the types of transportation, types of the companion, budget and the frequency that use transportation. With the preferences to domestic transportation by Thai tourists. The statistical tests were discovered that the difference of the independent variable influence to the preferences to domestic transportation was difference.
