Abstract:
The objectives of the research were; to study the behavior and the demand of Thai MICE tourist, to study the potentiality of Bangkok metropolis for MICE tourists capacity, and to develop a potentiality Pre-Post tourism program for MICE tourists in Bangkok to serve the demand of Thai MICE tourist. The samples were 385 Thai MICE tourists. The process in this study involves both Qualitative and Quantitative research. 1. Quantitative research method was applied in this study by using questionnaires as data collection instrument for study the behavior and the demand of Thai MICE tourists. The samples were 385 Thai MICE tourists. 2. Qualitative research instrument was in-depth interview for 5 people who involve in MICE industry of Bangkok. The results of Quantitative was the majority of respondents were male whose age between 25-29 years old. They were company employee who graduated bachelor’s degree with their income between 25,001-30,000 Bath per month. They were traveled to Bangkok 1-2 days by using private vehicle and most of them travel with friends. Type of accommodation was hotel, popular place was the malls, suitable time to travel in Bangkok were 1-2 days and the budget that they can use for travelling more than 2,000 Bath per trip. The results of Qualitative was found that MICE industry of Bangkok has a high potential and sufficient for MICE tourist capacity, Due to Bangkok is praised to be Thailand MICE city. Bangkok is not only the capital city of Thailand, but also the Centre of business and variety of tourism. Absolutely will these fulfill traveller’s need, for both ones on business and ones on vacation. The overall research of this study can create Pre-Post tourism program via pleasurable full-day and half-day journey. The program tour divided in 4 routes. 1) Cultural route 2) Relaxing route 3) Nightlife route 4) Community route.
