Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study tourists’ behaviors in travelling and nostalgia tourism motivation of Thai tourists in Bangkok Metropolitan. The sample consisted of 385 Thai tourists, which were calculated by Cochran sample size’s formula, and a questionnaire was used to collect the data. The data were statistically analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results were found that most of respondents were female who aged between 20-30 years old. Most of them were undergraduate students having their salary less than 15,000 baht. The respondents mostly traveled in nostalgia tourism with friends for 2 – 3 times. The purposes of visiting were to visit nostalgia travel or leisure and relax on weekend. Yaowarat was the most popular place for nostalgia travelling. Moreover, the social media was used to search for information regarding nostalgia travel. The motivation of nostalgia tourism of Thai Tourists in Bangkok were ranked as followed emotional and valuable feeling motivation were at the highest level, followed by cultural motivations, interpersonal motivation, Status and prestige motivations, and physical motivation, respectively.
