Abstract:
The “intellectuals” are considered a very significant class of people whohave had a vital role in political drive and in the reproduction of administrative ideas throughout the history of China. The ideology and characteristics of intellectuals include the adherence in the right way, or Confucian way, and socialresponsibility. Both are the prominent characteristics incorporated in the intellectuals. The limitations and challenges of being an official involve the great determination to enhance their society and the confrontation with the greater power. Meanwhile, they had to concentrate on the Confucian way that they had always been cultivated. This conflict encouraged the intellectuals to call for and adhere in the Confucian way in order to formulate their identities and leading roles in the society, and above all, to be the social values representation.
