Abstract

The Engineering Project is designing and creating ventilating system of welding room. The hood is put in the front of the worker for hazardous smoke protection. The operation room consist of five hoods with only one centrifugal fan at the end of the duct. Damper is connected at a branch to control the speed of ventilation. Designing and testing of ventilating system is performed at the Machanical Engineering laboratory. This system consist of 52 X 1000 mm. five slots hood 450 mm., 380 mm. and 260 mm. diameter circular duct 2 Hp motor, Backward 1440 rpm. centrifugal fan From the experiment, it is founded that this system can operated effectively when the welding center is not more than 40 cm. far from the hood with the 1200 X 1100 mm. working area.
