Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study rail tourism operation under COVID-19 circumstance in termsof transport and slow tourism factorsand analyzethefactors influencingdecision-making on rail tourism duringthe COVID-19 pandemics.The sample consisted of 385 Thai tourists, which were calculated by Cochran sample size’s formula, and aquestionnairewas usedto collectthe data. The data were statistically analyzed by mean(), standard deviation(S.D.), and the multiple regression analysis with Enter method.Results showedthat the operation of train tourism during theCovid-19 situation in terms of tourist transport factors (= 3.80,S.D. = 0.522)and slow tourism factors (= 3.70,S.D. = 0.542)was ranked at a good level. Tourist transport factors had a statistically significant influence on train travel decisions at .05. Tourist transportfactors and slow tourism factorssignificantly and positively affectedtravel decision-making on rail tourism at the level of .05 intermsof customer care (Beta = .314), safety (Beta = .283), length (Beta = .245), emotion (Beta = .201), and contamination (Beta = .132).
