Abstract:
The research aimed to examine the opinions of those involved in Sex Tourism and studied The Impact of Sex Tourism in Pattaya City on the appearance, values and economy. A survey was created containing In-depth Interview and observation about possibilities of encouraging Sex Tourism in Pattaya City to be legal. A total 18 person from 6 groups of 1. Entrepreneur 2. Sex Worker 3. Customer 4. Professor 5. Thai tourist and 6. Foreign tourist were surveyed.
One of famous tourist attractions in Thailand is the Walking Street Pattaya which well-known as a sex destination. Even though Sex Tourism is illegal in Thailand and there’s official strongly oppose any from of Sex Tourism industry. In the past, Sex Tourism and Prostitution were largely viewed as detrimental conflicted to the values of Thai people. Nowadays, most of them regard it as a matter of individual body rights. The illegality of Prostitution caused almost all sex workers do not have welfare and protection measures to support them.
The results were as follows:
The majority of the respondents. Interviewees' perceptions of the subject matter, mannerisms, and tone of voice vary throughout the interview but the answer goes the same way. In which the interviewees in each group held their attitude towards Sex Tourism as something that existed within Thailand a lot could be seen in general. But Sex Tourism is still illegal and unacceptable in some groups. Most of the respondents also wanted it to be legal. As well as Sex Tourism is one of the choices that tourists can decided to travel in Thailand for help drive spending and stimulate the country's economy.
