Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study health tourism behaviors by using bicycle and the development guideline of health tourism using bicycle in Bangkok Metropolis. The samples were 400 Thai tourist respondents who used bicycle for heath tourism. A questionaire was used as a survey tool and data were analyzed statistically using frequency, percentage, mean (xˉ) and standard deviation (S.D.).
The results were as followed;
1. The opinions of respondent on development guideline of health tourism using bicycle in Bangkok Metropolis were ranked at moderate level of all aspects namely Tourism Promotion (xˉ = 3.05, S.D. = 0.895), Bicycle Lane (xˉ = 2.74, S.D. = 0.940), Safety (xˉ = 2.62, S.D. = 1.041), Training (xˉ = 2.58, S.D. = 0.985), Equipment and Facilities (xˉ = 2.55, S.D. = 0.937).
2. The majority of respondent was male whose age was between 20 – 40 years old. They were company employee who graduated from bachelor’degree with their income between 10,000 – 20,000 baht per month.
3. The majority of respondent rode the utility bicycle more than 2 – 3 times per week. They had bicycle experience more than 5 years ago with the main purposes of using bicycle for health and exercise. Additionally, the most significant factor which affected their motivation was eco friendly.Their main interesting destination was health attraction.
