Abstract:
The purpose of this study were to study Adventure Tourism behaviors in Teenagers and The First Stage of Early Working Adulthood. Questionnaires was used to collect data from 200 teenagers (age 15-22) and 200 first stage of early adulthood (age 23-30). Semi structured interview was used as an instrument for interviewing Adventure tourism experts. Data were analyzed statistically using the Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and hypothesis testing by using t-test.
The study results were as followed;
1. Most of samples who responded to the questionnaire were female, bachelor’s degree as their education level, most of samples occupation were students with average income 5,000 – 10,000 baht per month.
2. The adventure tourism behaviors of samples were as followed; the respondents were interested in adventure tourism at moderate level. A reason that the samples who chose adventure tourism activities because of hilariously feeling and their main objective was for relaxation, participated in adventure tourism activities 2-3 times per month, travelled with their friends by car and van about 2-6 participants at the time. Majority of respondents travel planed in winter season. Camping and snorkeling (soft adventure activities), water adventure activities and ATV riding (hard adventure activities) were the most adventure activities that samples like to do. Most samples used Facebook and Pantip as a main website for searching data and receiving news about adventure tourism.
3. The opinions of adventure activities and attractions choosing behaviors in factors of Attraction (xˉ = 3.99 , S.D. = 0.58), Accessibility (xˉ = 3.77 , S.D. = 0.68), Amenities (xˉ = 3.84 , S.D. = 0.68), Activities (xˉ = 4.03 , S.D. = 0.61), Available Package (xˉ = 3.78 , S.D. = 0.81), and Ancillary Services (xˉ = 3.90 , S.D. = 0.84) were ranked at high level.
4. For hypothesis testing by using t-test between teenager and first stage of early working adulthood was founded that the opinion about choosing adventure tourism activities were not different.
