Abstract:
The development guideline of tourism in the metaverse for responding the demand of
generation y and generation z was aimed to study the demand and motivation in metaverse
tourism of Generation Y and generation z and to develop the guideline for metaverse tourism for responding the demand of generation y and generation z. .This research is mixed method research utilizing questionnaire and semi-construct interview form as a tools to collecting data. 4 0 0 samples were collected from social media group that related with digital investment and metaverse. 3 experts were interviewed. the data were analyzed in terms of quantitative, frequency mean and standard deviation and t-test
The results were as follow;
Most of respondents are mens at age 26-41 years that studying in Bachelor’s degree or an
equivalent, most of the respondents were student which have major income lower than 15,000
baht, they were interested to Metaverse tourism in moderate level, aim to use Metaverse tourism
for entertainment and by computers, plan to travel to metaverse in weekends on 6 :01pmmidnight.
The motivation of tourist for Metaverse tourism in overall are at the high level
(mean = 3.73, S.D. = 0. 98 ) Tourism Element in metaverse tourism in overall are at high level
(mean = 3.35, S.D. = 0.73)
By comparing the different of Generation Y and Generation Z by t-test
(t = -0.85, p = 0.40) found that the motivation of metaverse tourism was not significant difference
but the significant differences among the opinions about tourism elements with statistically
different at level 0.05 (t = - 2.43, p = 0.01)
this research can presented for the development guideline of tourism in the metaverse
at 3 subjects such as the infrastructure and the system of metaverse tourism, the safety
and security of metaverse tourism and the promotion of metaverse tourism.
