Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study The Guideline of Community-Based Tourism Management for sustainability in Bor Suak Sub-district, Muang District, Nan Province. The process in this study involve both qualitative and quantitative research. For the quantitative part, the questionnaire was conducted with the sample size of 240 subjects. For the qualitative part, interviews were conducted with 5 organization who are relevant to tourism development in Nan Province. the statistics that used to analyze data including frequency percentage, mean (𝑥̅) and standard deviation (S.D)
The results were as followed :
1.The majority of respondents were female whose age between 41 – 50 years old. They were entrepreneurship business involved in community who undergraduate with their income lower than 10,000 Baht per month.
2. The majority of respondents agree that community-based tourism management was the most problem and obstacle in sustainable tourism development (𝑥̅= 3.09, S.D. = 1.44) Tourist attraction management by community ( 𝑥̅=4.00, S.D. = 1.00) Management of economy, society and good quality of life (𝑥̅ = 3.91, S.D. =1.00) Conservation and promotion of cultural heritage of the community (𝑥̅=4.09, S.D. =0.91) Quality of tourism services by communities
3. The study reveals that the problem of community-Based Tourism Management for sustainability in Bor Suak Sub-district, Muang District, Nan Province the community was not ready for the learning process in the community, the matter of budget which not suitable for tourism and the matter of personnel in the community that if without leaders there would be no followers. Therefore, causing problems and obstacles in order to develop tourism communities to be sustainable and effective.
