dc.description.abstract |
The impacts of distributed generation (DG) in 22 kV distribution system of Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) that is a part of Thailand's distribution system are considered in terms of active power line losses. The digital simulation and electrical network calculation program (DIgSILENT) is carried out to analyze power line losses of the distribution system. In order to evaluate the impact of DG for power line losses, the power line losses in case of without DG and with DG including the capacity and location of DG are compared. The results show that when DG is installed close to the substation, the active power line losses are reduced. However, if DG capacity becomes larger and the distance between DG and load is longer, the power line losses tend to be increased. © 2013 IEEE. |
