Abstract:
Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a potentially lethal condition. Prompt diagnosis of PE relies on high index of clinical suspicion. Despite multiple electrocardiographic findings described in association with PE, ST-segment elevation remains rare and represents a diagnostic challenge to differentiate it from acute myocardial infarction. The authors present a case of PE mimicking anteroseptal infarction on electrocardiography (ECG) which was successfully thrombolysed with streptokinase. © 2017 Medical Association of Thailand.
