บทคัดย่อ: | The cervical spine finite element model is helpful for biomechanical analysis of cervical spine motion. Previous studies have developed cervical spine finite element model models with a variety of ligamentous groups. This study aimed to reduce the complexity of finite element model construction while optimizing the simulation accuracy of the cervical spine analysis. Four cases of the cervical spine models were constructed based on computed tomography images. Each case contained different groups of ligaments ranging between six and seventeen groups. The range of motion of the cervical spinal column in flexion and extension movements subjected to static loading were analyzed and compared to previous experimental data. The results suggested that the model with a minimum of seven ligamentous groups was consistent with previous studies. This finding can be used as a guideline to develop an appropriate finite element model and can further be used for biomechanical analyses. © 2021 IEEE. |
