Abstract: Due to an expiration of QS9000 system in a piston factory in Thailand, in December 2006, ISO/TS 16949 system which is an international automotive standard is considered as a following move. Starting with a measurement system analysis (MSA); divided to five components: Bias, Linearity, Stability, Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility, and Attribute, the comparison between QS9000 and ISO/TS16949 systems are made. Summary results of MSA in each component are shown and conclusions are drawn. An ISO/TS16949 procedure manual of measurement system analysis for this factory is conducted.
