This paper presents multiband antenna that can be applied in 5G applications. Moreover, main beam direction of the proposed antenna can be switched into two directions using only single element of square split ring resonator patch antenna by shorted circuit at different edges. The antenna can operate in eight frequencies, such as 6.01 GHz, 6.19 GHz, 6.51 GHz, 6.61 GHz, 6.70 GHz 8.03 GHz 8.47 GHz and 9.05 GHz. The maximum gain of the proposed antenna is 3.93 dBi. The proposed antenna has small in size, simple structure and low complex to beam switching. © 2018 IEEE.
